Hi Everyone:
I won’t be seeing you this weekend, so I thought I’d send a little note as so
many others have done. I have enjoyed reading them all.
After MHS, I went to WVU and learned computer programming (on the mainframe).
After WVU, I moved to Philadelphia for 8 months and then moved to Charleston, WV
in 1972 and have lived here ever since.
I currently work for the WV Dept. of Health and Human Services, still as a
mainframe programmer/analyst. I have enjoyed it over 35 years. I plan on
retiring in October.
Kay, my husband of 28 years, has been retired from the State of WV for 11 years,
so I think it is time that I join him.
He is an ordained minister. We have had a ministry for the full 28 years. It
consists of traveling to other churches to sing (not me), preach, teach and pray
for the sick. We also have a weekly Bible study in our home; we run sound
systems for other ministries; we send monthly teaching tapes to recipients in US
and other countries; and we have been on missions trips outside the US.
My family has all moved from Morgantown, so I very seldom get there but it is
interesting to see all the changes when I do. I still haven’t been on the PRT!
Right now I am going thru chemo for breast cancer (which has all been removed).
Now I know what my head looks like under all that hair!
I have not had any children, only one cat for 12 years.
Have fun sharing memories this weekend, and thanks to the reunion committee for
getting all of this communication together.
Blessings,
Sherry (Montagna) Lowther
