Larry Reseter

All, I noticed that our biographical sketches have slowed as of late and I thought I might add mine to our selection.  Before I tell a little about my past I want to add my thanks to all the wonderful work our Reunion Committee did in making all the detailed arrangements for the reunion ... you could tell they had as much fun pulling the event together as the rest of us had at the get together… thank you all very much.

After MHS I went to WV Wesleyan and graduated in ’71. Prior to graduation our senior year I married Beth Callahan from Point Marion, Pa and we have been married for nearly 37 years.  I was encouraged to join the USAF due to my low military draft lottery number (16) and ended up being an officer and pilot for my 29 year USAF career. We had a daughter, Megan, in 1973 and a son, Tyler; in 1976 both while we were stationed in Washington DC where I first flew helicopters for the Air Force.  Following DC I transitioned to fighter aircraft and flew the A-10 “Warthog” for most of my remaining military career.  During that time we were fortunate to have the opportunity to live and experience many neat places such as Myrtle Beach, Bentwaters England, Korea, Hawaii and Alaska … we moved our household furniture 19 times during our 29 years of service. Following retirement from the USAF in 2001 we relocated back to Hawaii for five years where I was a defense contractor as a Senior Military Analysis.  Megan is married and living the good life in Portland, Oregon, and Tyler is finishing up his degree at Penn State following several years of living in and experiencing Asia.  Beth and I have recently moved back to Morgantown after our 35 year sojourn to the “outside” - as they say in Alaska – where we live near Bruceton Mills at a place called Lake O’Woods.  I am currently working on a second career with Centra Bank in Morgantown as a Commercial Lender.  It’s nice to be home in WV.
