Well folks,
It does sound like I missed something amazing. You do not realize how much I wanted to be there. During my surgery, they took three vertebra out of my neck and put in some type of tower in its place. They also fused #3 & #4 vertebras together. I still do not have hardly any use in my left arm and hand so please excuse any spelling mistakes. After graduating from MHS, I attended Fairmont State College majoring in music. During my time there, I met a wonderful young lady also from MHS (Moundsville High School) and we were married August 14, 1971. Her name is Barbara and was also majoring in music.
After graduating from FSC, I took a position as general music teacher, choral director, and band assistant director at Paden City High School. This lasted for two years when we decided to move further north to Brooke County, WV.
During this period in my life, I worked on receiving my Masters Degree in Music/Education in August 1982.
For the next fourteen years, my wife and I were the only elementary music teachers in the county school system. She went to five schools per week and I had seven schools per week. I then took over the band duties at Follansbee Middle School where I developed a marching band, concert band, pep band, stage band, show band, football band, and several ensemble groups.
While living in this area, we had a son, Matthew, born July 25, 1977 and because of several operations my wife endured, we adopted a son from El Salvador. Daniel's birthday is March 26, 1984.
In Weirton, I was also the Director of Music at First United Methodist Church for twenty-one years.
In 1998, my wife and I decided that it was time to give up the cold weather and we moved to our current positions in Charlotte, NC. My wife and I both still teach music. We both now teach in the elementary music program. Compared to where we taught in West Virginia, there are now over 140 elementary school music teachers. I teach in a school where there is 98% free and reduced lunch children in downtown Charlotte. I am also a co-director of a "Spirit Singers" group at our church. We sing at different churches in our area. I have had some medical problems these past few years including my present situation, veinis stasis disease and now also "gout".
We live in a small town just north of Charlotte off I-77 called Huntersville and love it a great deal.
Please keep in touch. I was down to my last drop of hope and now you have performed a miracle in my life which I will always remember.

PS

My wife asked me after I had written my bio earlier, Did you remember the grandkids? I said no. GRANDKIDS!!!!!! Sorry.

Our second son, Daniel, lives here in Charlotte and has a two year old little girl named Emma Jean. Please excuse my lapse of memory.
