Audrey (Wilkins) Bertram
Hi - I was disappointed to note
that the date of the reunion is one when I have a conflict. I hope you have a
great turn-out, as I am sure you have put in a huge amount of work.
A quick update - Tram (Bill Bertram), my high school sweetheart and husband for
almost 34 years, died April 28, 2005. He had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for over 5
years. Any cancer is terrible isn't it?
We built a house on Buckeye Lake in 2003, as Tram always wanted to live on the
water. We enjoyed one and one half years on the lake. We made his dream happen,
speed boat and all, before he died. Our children moved back to the Columbus area
several months before he died. Kate is an interior designer and Ryan has worked
with the state government as a lobbyist.
I am doing well now. I had stopped teaching when Tram became ill, after 24 years
of teaching pre-K and second grade, in addition to teaching remedial reading. I
am selling the lakehouse and moving back to Worthington to live in a patio home.
I'd rather be closer to where I lived for over 25 years.
Have a great reunion! My daughter Kate and I will be in Las Vegas that weekend
to perform in a dance competition!!!!! Wish us luck!!
